THE MEMBERSHIP FORM
Thank
you so much for your support of ACT Roxbury. You may have attended the
Roxbury Film Festival or Roxbury Open Studios. Perhaps
you participated in a course we offered or took an art tour. Maybe you
came to a staged reading or purchased the Roxbury Literary Annual.
Did we meet you at the two special art shows we mounted at the Museum
of Our National Heritage in Lexington? However we met you, whatever
your relationship to ACT Roxbury, I am excited to announce a new way
that you can support us - become a member!
Membership
is one of the ways that we are diversifying our fundraising plan so
that we can continue to work to achieve our mission of: Using arts
and culture to foster the physical, economic, and social revitalization
of Roxbury and to showcase the richness of Roxbury talent via the Roxbury
Arts Series.
All members
receive info on ACT events, our annual newsletter, and invitations to
members-only special events.
- The
Individual/Artist, Friends/Family, and Student/Senior memberships
receive regular maillings about grants, jobs and other opportunities
for artists.
- Small
Business and Corporate members, in addition to the above, will have
the opportunity to be linked to the ACT website and to distribute
information about their programs and services at ACT events.
- Members
at the Zora Neale Hurston level or above are entitled to one copy
of My Roxbury: a video poem about Roxbury available exclusively
from ACT Roxbury.
- Hughes,
Bearden, and Micheaux Society members will be able to put ads in ACT
event programs and brochures (one ad per year). Robeson Society members
are entitled to two ads per year in ACT event programs and brochures.
Please
consider making an additional contribution to support arts, education,
and artist-business related programs. All gifts are tax deductible to
the extent permitted by law. Thank you for supporting ACT Roxbury.
